"Stalemate in CAF Champions League Final First Leg: Al Ahly vs. Esperance"

The goalless draw dominated the match between Al Ahly and Tunisian side Esperance at the Hamadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades in the first leg of the African Champions League final on Saturday evening. The return leg will take place next Saturday at the Cairo International Stadium.

Mustafa Ghorbal officiated the match, assisted by an Algerian team consisting of Mokrane Gourari and Akram Zehrouni as assistant referees, Libyan Moataz Al-Shalmani as the fourth official, Mauritanian referee Dahane Bedda on VAR, assisted by Rwandan Salima Mukansanga and Angolan Gerson dos Santos as second assistants.

First Half:
Esperance started the match energetically, with rough play characterizing both teams' performances. Imam Ashour suffered a minor injury but continued playing before Ali Maaloul sustained a strong injury that forced him to leave the match. Karim Fouad replaced him in the 7th minute.

Esperance continued to press Al Ahly, with Ghorbal issuing a yellow card to Esperance's Roger Assale for rough play against Imam Ashour. The Tunisian team dominated play with sporadic and weak attempts from Al Ahly.

Ghorbal showed a yellow card to Karim Fouad in the 34th minute for rough play against an Esperance player. The Tunisian team exerted strong pressure in the final minutes of the first half, leading to Mohamed Hani receiving a yellow card in the 38th minute for pushing an Esperance player without the ball. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

Second Half:
